Adjunctive therapy for partial-onset seizures, generalized seizures of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in adults
Drugs that induce lamotrigine glucuronidation include carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, primidone, rifampin, lopinavir/ritonavir, and atazanavir/ritonavir. Valproic acid inhibits lamotrigine glucuronidation. Whole tablets should be used for dosing, round calculated dose down to the nearest whole tablet. Alternatively, a suspension may be prepared using immediate release tablets
